Banstead Banished!

From the whistle Hillcrest started well after winning first centre pass, scoring immediately. It was an evenly matched start to the game, fast paced - end to end.

Hillcrest began to pick up the pace, stretching the lead to 15-5 at the start of the 3rd part.

From then Hillcrest dominated the game, brilliant defending and hustling on the ball, everyone working hard to get the ball down the attacking end where it could be put in the goal. Great to see some new faces - Katie, Elle and Sarah. They all played so well.

There was brilliant shooting from Elle - and Sarah was so versatile, attacking and defending. Hopefully you can become regulars - you all added something to the team. Tracy, as flexible as ever, had some great interceptions. Cindy, brilliant defending today (and in one piece for skiing!) and Olivia (ex Surrey D player - lovely to see you back), found good space and helped get that ball back in the attacking end.

Player of the match was newbie Katie, and opposition's player was Tracy. A game full of friendly competition and challenging moments but Hillcrest coming out on top - the deserved winners!
