Game 1 - against Chobham - 17-19
Hillcrest faced a tough opening match against Cobham, battling fiercely to stay level and even taking the lead at times. However, as the game wore on, they struggled to find the net and ultimately fell short, losing by two goals.
Game 2 - against Rosslyn Park - 22-22
Determined to bounce back, they took on league rivals Rosslyn Park in their second game. Having been beaten twice by Rosslyn this season, Hillcrest knew they had a challenge ahead. The match was fiercely contested, with neither side able to convincedly pull away. Though Rosslyn had beaten them before, today was different, Hillcrest refused to back down, fighting for every ball, stifling their opponents and securing a hard-earned draw.
Game 3 = against KCLA - 22-15
With a defeat and a draw behind them, Hillcrest sharpened their focus for the next match, pressing KCLA into mistakes and capitalising on every opportunity. Their relentless drive paid off, as they surged ahead to claim a decisive victory.
Game 4 - against Swans - 27-12
In their final game, Hillcrest came out with undeniable determination, storming to an early lead. Their team spirit was on full display as they remained laser-focused, delivering their most dominant performance of the day.
When the final whistle blew and the results were announced, the team bench and supporters erupted in celebration, Hillcrest had secured second place and, with it, a well-earned promotion into the County League.
