Under 12's and Under 13's - didn't they do well!

Under 13s Report
U13s played 8 matches - winning 7 and drawing 1.

Tough matches were Ashtead where both teams were scoring one-for-one until Hillcrest played simple, direct passing which resulted in them pulling ahead and winning 8-6. Similar story with Rudgwick who were a more physical Team. The most challenging match was against Waverley Vipers who were equally strong in attack and their defence. The girls dug deep and scored to equalise before the whistle blew to make a draw 10-10.

The team was at 8 (Hannah and Willow unable to play). Tabby stepped in as WD, GK and even as GS for one half! Movement between defence positions worked well with Kate as C and Mina as WA linking well with shooters, Ronnie and Imogen. Juliette, Amelia P, Amelia S and Tabby worked well as a defensive team.

The mood was good with all girls clearly enjoying themselves and supporting each other.
Coach’s player of the tournament was Kate as C. She was amazing in centre court and was instrumental in both attack and defence ends of the court, linking up well with WA and the shooter as well as supporting defence. She made several interceptions and was using space and movement well throughout. Ronnie, as always, was a great captain, encouraging the team on court and beforehand.

Under 12's Report
We started off very well beating KITC 12-2, the four games we lost were very close, 2-3 against Waverley, 1-4 against Ashtead (the winners), 3-5 against Thames Ditton and 2-4 against Downs. we were successful beating Fairlands 4-1 and Cobham 4-2.

Chanelle, Georgia and Jessica worked very hard in defence obtaining lots of rebounds and interceptions. Centre court players Genevieve, Anna B, Jemima, Anna R and Emily all gave 100% effort despite lots of changes. Miithilda and Georgie showed some lovely rotations and movement in the circle.

I just want to say how proud i was for the effort everyone put in to their games. We still have many things we can work on for next season, I hope everyone enjoyed the tournament and I look forward to seeing them next season.

Players player voted for Miithilda 5 votes and 2 votes for Genevieve.

Coaches vote goes to both Anna Bolwell good gameship and Jessica-for just getting on with what ever position i put her in.
