At the start Sandie and Bish manfully manned the table (Bish doing a great job with the timing and bell ringing, though I don't think campanology is her forte), Sandie then had to leave Bish (now managing the table on her own for half an hour until the next team took over – thank you Bish for all your help) to manage and umpire the first U11 match between U11A and Spencer B. The squad for the As was Anna Bolwell, Amely Bravenboer, Alyze Gentles, Olivia Gibbon, Darcy Russell, Jemima Wood-Woolley and Elle Davidson, and they got off to a great start with a 11-0 win.

The next match was between U11B and Spencer C. The squad for the Bs was Rosie Day, Rebecca Harker, Ahthena Loizou, Savannah Nsofor, Cara-Mae McLernon-Smyth, Lily Weeks and Amelia Willmott. A little shaky to start the team improved as the match went on and the 1-5 score line didn’t fully reflect their efforts. Harriet arrived during the match to help and gave a very enthusiastic encouraging performance on the side line

Next up, U11A against Spencer A – having beaten the Spencer B team this match was expected to be tougher and it was. The ball was moving end to end but it was Spencer A who had the shooters on form at the right time.

Then U11B against Surrey Heath Bumbles; this was the closest of matches and the team put up a brave effort, only losing by 1 goal.

Then to the last two matches of the day; well done to both teams for keeping their focus as this resulted in two wins, hurrah. Full results are in the tables below.

both for never giving up, making some great interceptions and shooting vital goals, also Savannah was the bounciest person on court in all matches!
